  • Pork and beef roasts, whole chicken and turkey, and steaks: 4-12
  • Fatty fish and shellfish: 2-3
  • Squid, clams, scallops, and shrimp: 3-6
  • Lobster: 12
  • Hard and soft cheese: 6
  • Raw eggs and cottage cheese: 1
  • Yogurt and ice cream: 1-2
  • Meat broth and veggie and meat soups and stews: 2-3
  • Citrus fruits and nuts: 3
  • Veggies: 8-12
  • Other fruits: 9-12
  • Milk and homemade juice: 3-6
  • Commercial juice: 12
  • Cooked casseroles, rice, and pasta: 3

Freezing your food prevents growth of bacteria, but this doesn’t give you the go signal to let everything stay there. The quality degenerates as time passes, so follow the guidelines given above to enjoy good quality food.
