Reports of people, especially parents, getting worried about the health risks of WiFi exposure dominate the headlines. Whether you’re a parent or not, you’re probably wondering if these concerns are valid.

In a world where smartphones and all kinds of devices control technology, you’re probably a very heavy WiFi user. It is not rare for people to be on WiFi 24/7. Unfortunately, studies have shown just how scary its effects can be, physically and mentally.

How WiFi Can Contribute to Your Death

Although being connected to WiFi is undeniably convenient, there are some negative health effects that you simply can’t ignore:

It’s not just about staying up late at night to check your smartphone because the electromagnetic signals can actually give you some sleepless nights on their own. A 2007study evaluated cellphones and their impact on sleep. It was discovered that those who sleep beside their phones or have a home with WiFi signal turned on for the rest of the night develop a sleeping problem in the long run.

Impaired Cell Growth:

A study conducted on Danish children revealed that they had difficulty concentrating after sleeping with phones above their heads. Another study was conducted later on involving two groups of plants. The first group was exposed in a room with two WiFi routers, while the other group was free from radiation. The result showed that the first group of plants stopped growing.

Reduced Brain Activity:

Due to the Danish youngsters having problems with concentration, professionals looked at how 4G radiation can impact brain function. It was discovered that brain activity reduces as you continuously expose yourself to WiFi. In another study, 30 healthy men and women were tested in their memory’s capacity. They were first tested without WiFi exposure and the next time, they were exposed to WiFi for almost an hour. Brain activity was measured and results showed that women’s brain activity started slowing down along with their energy levels after WiFi use.

Reduced Sperm Quality and Quantity:

While the brain activity of women is lessened in the study above, another research discovered that being on WiFi for a long time can affect a man’s virility. Sperm movement is reduced and can even cause fragmentation of DNA if continually exposed to radiation.

Apart from all these, there are some studies that suggest how diseases, such as cancer, stroke, and heart ailments are linked with WiFi use. The good news is that it is not too late to protect yourself. The key is to limit your exposure and do other activities that do not involve your phones and WiFi.
