If you wake up early, you have more time for all the things you need to do, making mornings the best time of the day. Additionally, experts believe waking up early is a healthy practice that can give you a longer life. However, it’s not just about rising in the morning, but doing specific things before 8AM to have a fruitful day.
Doing the following before eight in the morning can help change your life:
- Get Enough Sleep.
Have at least seven hours of sleep to avoid feeling groggy all day. When you have adequate shut eye, you enjoy benefits, such as sharper memory, enhanced creativity, lower stress levels, longer life, and reduced depression risk.
- Provide Some Time for Praying.
Remembering there’s a superior being at least once a day can keep you calm and grounded. Do this before you start any of your routine, so that you become more focused and have a positive outlook in life.
- Get Active.
As you get out of bed, don’t start eating your breakfast or watching TV. Instead, do some physical activities to keep yourself healthy and even gain the energy you need to get through the day. You don’t have to overexert yourself; a simple morning stroll or a jog will do.
- Have a To-Do List.
When you map out the things that you should do, you will be able to do all the work in time. Write down the things you have to do and make sure they can be done at a specific timeframe.
- Eat Healthy.
Your breakfast should not be filled with sugar and too much carbs. In fact, what you need is protein, specifically 30 grams of it. You should have the protein your body needs 30 minutes after you wake up, as recommended by Tim Ferriss, author of The 4-Hour Body.
- Take a Shower.
A cold shower will help you get a fresh start as it basically cleanses your body, while refreshing your mind. It also helps you prepare for the new day ahead of you. Cold showers have many benefits to your health, including better immune system as well as healthier circulatory, digestive, and lymphatic systems. This also boosts metabolism.
Whether you love mornings or you hate them, it is time for you to utilize those early hours before you start your day. This is the key to a healthy and successful life.
